If you’re interested in being a part of OSU’s Outdoor Recreation Economy Initiative, there are several ways you—individually or as an organization—can play a role in building the future of workforce development and continuing education for the outdoor recreation economy.
You can join us as either an Innovation Partner to shape how we educate the outdoor economy workforce or as part of the Advisory Network to provide feedback to the initiative and programs we develop.
Innovation Partners are part of a small cohort of organizations piloting and evaluating the two workforce development programs ready for launch in Spring 2020.
These partner organizations and their designated point person support the initiative by helping to build a roadmap to new and better jobs in the industry. They will also be in a position to test, evaluate and shape how we educate the outdoor economy workforce.
REI, LOGE, The National Park Service and The Corps Network are some of our Innovation Partners in this initiative.
Members of the Advisory Network support OSU in its efforts to provide effective trainings to the industry. Members are advocates for and promoters of the Outdoor Recreation Economy Initiative, utilizing their network to broaden the reach and relevance of our work.
The network will provide strategic feedback and ongoing guidance to curriculum and program development with Innovation Partners, ensuring industry-wide relevancy and segment-specific responsiveness.
